Stay awhile, at the Lyle

This is a sponsored blog post in collaboration with Lyle DC.

Hi friends!

I am back at it again with another fabulous D.C. hotel review, in my very own neighborhood of Dupont Circle! Being “on vacation” a few blocks away from our house was actually so fun and we saw our neighborhood in a new light pretending to be “tourists”. If you’re looking for a posh yet relaxing vacation/staycation getaway inside the District, then look no further than the Lyle DC.

ROOMS

The guest rooms at the Lyle seriously make you feel right at home with the calming neutral colors and stunning neighborhood views. I’m not even kidding when I say I was able to see the Washington Monument right through the window from our bed. We spent the weekend in one of the Lyles’ spacious Premier King rooms with a Kitchenette, which included a sink, espresso machine, mini fridge and plenty of glassware and cutlery for extended stays or takeout.

Can we talk about this stunning art deco headboard? I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and have never seen such a statement piece which truly ties the room together. I loved that our room also had a full size couch as my husband is an avid reader therefore he had his little nook to enjoy his book while I went to bed early.

DINING

Hungry? Thirsty? Lyle’s has you covered with breakfast, brunch and dinner plus a full bar. If you can’t tell from the picture above that I am totally in my element in this gorgeous dining room, let me just tell you. The design and decor of this space is so stunning and unique, I will definitely be bringing all of my friends and family here when they come visit us in the city.

We enjoyed not 1 but 2 fabulous breakfasts’ at Lyle’s, and I’m already ready to book my next reservation. The prices are more than reasonable for the city and the food was divine. We also spent our last night of our staycation at Lyle’s for drinks and dinner and started off with my now new favorite drink made of Tequila, Mint, Lime, Agave = The Lyle Smash. The seasonal, contemporary American menu has a little bit of something for everyone but our dinner favorites were definitely the ravioli and the lamb loin.

NEIGHBORHOOD

The Lyle is easily one of our favorite new hotels in the city and I would highly recommend checking them out for your leisure or business travel. For all of the Peloton lovers out there, the Lyle has you covered with their 24-7 gym located on the lower level of the hotel.

There are SO many restaurant options in the surrounding neighborhoods of Dupont Circle, Adam’s Morgan and Logan Circle – you will honestly never go hungry. On night 1, we picked up pizza at Puppatella 2 blocks away in Adam’s Morgan for a casual dinner. Some of our longtime favorites in the area are Duke’s Grocery, Hank’s Oyster Bar and Iron Gate just to name a few.

On Saturday afternoon, we checked out the rooftop of The Imperial for cocktails before our dinner reservations back at the hotel. One of my favorite things about D.C. rooftops is the unrestricted views due to the building height laws – you can see around town for miles.

Thank you so much again to the Lyle for hosting our staycation – we will definitely be back!

xoxo,

Trish
